A little piece of the WIP for the Steve is Seven AU. Flashback time Babey

“What are you doing?”

Seven turned around, giving the guard staring him down a soft smile. He kept both his hands behind his back, hiding his prize from view. 

“Just going to see Eleven. Papa knows,” Seven replied with the most innocent voice he could muster. Papa did know, and he was fine with Seven going to say goodbye before he left, but he hadn’t signed off on the gift Seven wanted to give his sister. 

The guard lifted an eyebrow, walking closer and holding his hand out expectantly. Seven kept his face blank and curious for a second before dropping the act. He sighed, bringing his arms to his sides and exposing what he was holding. 

“Just a gift. That’s all,” Seven insisted, glancing around the hallway briefly before giving the man a push. Not a heavy one, or one he should even be able to notice. Just a tiny little push. 

“It’s fine,” Seven whispered. 

“It’s fine,” The man repeated in a slightly dazed tone. He handed it back to Seven without argument, turning back around and beginning to go in the other direction. 

“You didn’t see me,” Seven said, giving the guard another barley there nudge as he walked away. 

He wasn’t supposed to use his powers on the guards, or at all without Papa knowing, but there were times where the rules had to be bent, just a little. The last thing he needed was the other kids getting jealous, or trying to steal this away from his sister while he was gone. 

“I didn’t see you,” The guard agreed, giving a tiny wave over his shoulder as he continued to leave, “It’s fine,”

Seven snickered behind his back. It didn’t hurt anyone to get a small push, they were still making their own choices, just with a bit of pressure. Seven was good at regulating how much force went into his pushes now. Papa told him that it was because he trained more than his siblings, that he worked harder than them. 

This was just a bit of…unexpected practice, that was all.

This has gotten ridiculous. I'm tired of the death threats, harassment and fucking doxing of Billy fans.

To the Billy antis who think they're good people for not liking him and harassing the people who do. What have y'all done to actively support black people IN REAL LIFE?

Y'all say liking the character perpetuates racism in real life but yet antis are the ones stooping low enough to call black billy fans coons and other racist slurs?

As a black person it's fucking condescending when non black and white antis think they're protecting and standing up for black fans by hating on Billy and his fans.

Do y'all donate money to blm movements? If you're able bodied, do you go to protests? I've seen y'all's accounts. You barely even reblog awareness posts.

Even if you reblog those posts I bet that's all most of you do and then you go about your day because you have the privilege to do so

Do you do anything other than make your useless posts about Billy and then pat yourselves on the back for not even doing the bare minimum?

Do yall really think Caleb gives a fuck about Billy fans that much when he has to deal with actual racist fans? and I can tell you right now I've seen more racism towards him come from fans of every other character more than Billy fans. He was dealing with racism far before s2 and even after Billy died.

Don't get me started on the Eddie Munson stans who got mad and turned on him for saying Eddie's death made sense.

If y'all were actually mature enough to listen before making judgement you would see most Billy fans like Lucas and don't excuse Billy's actions

Trust me the right winged asshole who makes multiple videos against black people is doing far greater harm then the people who write fanfiction and make edits about a fictional character.

And to the black billy antis imma need y'all to be so for real. Most black ppl who aren't into fandom culture would look at you like you're crazy for getting this heated about a fictional character and calling your fellow black people coons.

My Thoughts:

Ough you guysssss. Okay so I watched this being written, and I got it in bits and pieces slowly over the course of four(? maybe five) hours. It was so fucking intenseeeeeeee. This fic is really well written, and it deals with one of my favorite headcanons, and I really like that it didn't pull the usual route of 'Eddie is the only one who never calls him stupid'. I love that sm but like this is so much more realistic? These kinds of miscommunications happen allllllll the time, and we do things and say things we don't mean, and I just yeah everyone should read this one!!!!!

Summary:

“Write down three things,” Hopper says, ducking his head to catch her eye. “Three things you want to make happen this year, and we’ll do everything in our power to help you. How about that?” or New place, new school, not new but new-together parents—after last year, El is more than happy to let the world pass her by from the safety inside of their home, but her friends and family have different ideas. How they work to prove to El she is not alone and can succeed at anything she sets her mind to.

My Thoughts

This one is really really good. It's canon to season four ending, and I didn't even have time to doubt, because this El is so good. This is an El who is past the traumatic events, but still impacted by them. She feels older but still El? I love it. All of the characters are super realistic, amazing jopper, WONDERTWINS, it's all jsut really well written, and it floooooows god does this flow. It is awesome

Summary:

It’s not like Steve thought Eddie would stay single forever, but he figured he’d have a girlfriend by the time Eddie got a boyfriend. So, when Vickie and Robin set Eddie up on a blind date with Vickie’s cousin, Steve figures he feels weird about it because he’s the only one without a date.But an annoying little voice starts telling him maybe there’s more to it than that. He just has to figure out what it is.

My Thoughts:

This one is so fricken sweet!! I love the way Vickie is characterized in this one, we don't see her a lot (except for people saying her and Robin didn't work) but this person took the time to think about it. There's also a good dollop of QPR stobin which I always love, and a badass little granny for Steve, but the main thing here is the awesome Steddie! It's really well written, you an see them doing this complicated little dance around each other and the ending is so so sweet. It's also really funny I laughed at least three times

My thoughts:

I always wanna try to be honest with my thoughts here- I did not think I was going to like this story. The way it was formatted isn't something I'm used to and it threw me off, but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did! It's really funny, and I love the little references thrown in everywhere. You know when you can feel an author probably worked harder on something then they initially planned, and the result is fucking awesome? Yeah that's this fic. It's super cute, it's told in this really unique kind of outsider perspective, and I so so enjoyed it.

Summary:

“Mistletoe!” Robin cheers, and Steve’s heart stutters so hard in his chest that he thinks it might crack his ribcage and drop right out the bottom of his stomach. His eyes fly up, and, sure enough, there hangs one of the many sprigs hung all around the apartment. Small and inconspicuous, but unmistakable. That ridiculous little plant has no idea that it’s just turned Steve’s entire world on its axis. Across from him, Eddie’s eyes are trained up too, big and round and wide where they stick on the mistletoe. His lips are parted in surprise, and Steve can’t help but stare and think am I going to kiss those now? When Eddie finally tears his gaze from the plant and lets it flicker down to Steve, a pretty pink dusting blooms across the bridge of his nose and spreads into the apples of his cheeks when he finds Steve already looking back. Steve spares the mistletoe one last quick peek before he takes a deep breath and steels himself. This is it. He sticks his hands on his hips, aiming for casual, and asks, “What do you say, Munson?” Or, Steve makes a promise, Robin likes to meddle, and the spirit of Christmas strikes (out) again. And again. And again. (Until it doesn’t.)

My Thoughts:

Okay I'm going to be frank I may be biased bc I betad this fic, except I'm not because it's so goddman spectacular. I'll start with how funny it is. I reread it today to have it fresh in my mind, and it's hilarious. Secondly the reveal and the moment where Steve thinks Eddie doesn't want him is so quietly heartbreaking, but perfectly written. Characterization is awesome, I watched every iteration of this as it grew and grew into something absolutely magnificent, and I'm so lucky to have gotten to beta for it!!

I finished it.

After 25 and a half hours and three separate attempts, I finally finished the fan-made S5 poster :) I remember getting the idea in November of last year, and I just now finished it almost a year later. thats actually wild

not everything or everyone is perfect, but that’s okay. I’m proud of it and I think that’s all that really matters

What they're doing with El's clothing is so fun because especially her outfits in s4 directly parallel her clothing in s2.

at the start of s2 she's wearing Hopper's clothes and they're layered - Hopper is protecting her, but in doing so covering up the flowered shirt (aka covering up El). She's not able to be herself fully or discover what it is that she likes and what she wants to wear. She's very much still wearing what her caretaker wants her to wear.

That's paraleled in s4 by how she's once again layering, a very similar outfit, except now Joyce's clothes or Joyce's influence at least. Still covering up the flower shirt. She's trying to be good, to fit in and allow others to dictate her life.

This is when El first started fighting with Hopper - after she'd left the cabin to find Mike, shedding the first layer of Hopper. Same is shown in season 4, where she's figured out she isn't Jane, she's still very much El and she's slowly becoming her own person again, reclaiming her powers and her autonomy.

This is where it deviates, because where in S2, she might have reclaimed some of her autonomy, she'd still done it by wearing what others wanted her to wear, trying to fit into something she's not. In s4 on the other hand, she finally just gets to shed her layers and be El, finally showcasing the flower shirt during the fight against Vecna but also while reunited with her family. The fact that she's wearing the same thing in both is interesting because she's both sides - she's El the girl with powers, but she's also just El the daughter.
